Spice Rub Pork Chops Ingredients:
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin
- 1/2 Teaspoon Allspice
- 1/8 Teaspoon Paprika
- Salt and Pepper
- 1 Medium Onion, sliced thin
- 2 Teaspoons Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon oil
The recipe as written makes enough rub for 2 pork chops. Double the recipe to make 4 chops and triple the recipe to make 6 pork chops.
It doesn’t matter what cut of pork chop you use for the rub, loin chops, boneless chops or shoulder chops are all fine. Place the Cumin, Allspice, Paprika and salt and pepper in a small bowl and stir them all together. Rub both sides of the pork chops with the spice rub. Heat a frying pan to medium heat, place the oil in the pan and fry the pork chops until they are just done. Remove the pork chops from the pan to a plate and cover them with foil to keep them warm.
Place the onions in the same pan you fried the pork chops in. Saute the onions until they are golden brown and softened. Stir in the Balsamic Vinegar and any juices from the pork chops that accumulated on the plate into the pan. Stir everything to combine. Serve the onions with the pork chops. I used the rub on pork chops but there isn’t any reason why you couldn’t use it on boneless chicken breasts as well or steak.
